This course is designed for inspectors and installers of safety equipment contained in wind turbines and covers multiple OEM types.
The aim of this course is to provide an in-depth overview of the inspection and installation of Turbine Mounted Safety Equipment (TMSE) as required by the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations (PUWER).
Additionally, the course reviews the requirements of relevant legislation such as the Health & Safety at Work Act, Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations (PUWER), PPE and working at height regulations.
It also covers the documentation required, and various inspection techniques used and explains why turbines have certain equipment, their uses, and the importance of having regular inspections.
Each course delegate will be expected to complete a theory and practical examination. If successful, a certificate will be issued. This will help the Employer to address certain legal requirements by being able to help demonstrate employee competency. A detailed course handout is also provided for future reference.
No prerequisites required.
Each participant is required to produce photographic ID on the first day of the course. Failure to do so will result in the participant being unable to attend.
