Terms and Conditions / Medical Self Assessment

Cancellation Policy:

In addition to the Certex standard terms and conditions of sale, and like most training companies, Certex Training Services must enforce a cancellation policy to cover costs incurred in such an event: -

  • If the delegate(s) cancels a course prior to two calendar months of the scheduled course start date, there will be no charge and any paid invoices will be credited.
  • If the delegate(s) cancels a course within two calendar months of the scheduled course start date, they will incur a 25% cancellation charge.
  • If the delegate(s) cancels a course within one calendar month of the scheduled course start date, they will incur a 50% cancellation charge.
  • If the delegate(s) cancels a course within two weeks of the scheduled start date, they will incur a 100% cancellation charge.
  • If the delegate(s) reschedules a course prior to two weeks of the scheduled start date, they will incur no charge, if they postpone a 2nd time, they will incur a 25% Charge. If the delegate(s) reschedules a course within two weeks of the scheduled start date, they will incur a 25% surcharge.

Medical Self Assessment

When registering for training courses for either yourself or for someone else you must report to your training provider any health conditions that they should be aware of.

It Is Your Responsibility To Report Heath Issues

The following conditions could pose a risk when you participate in our training courses. You must alert your training provider if you or the persons you are booking a course for suffer from any of the following:

  • Asthma or other respiratory disorders
  • Epilepsy, blackouts or other seizures
  • Angina or other heart complaints
  • Vertigo or inner ear problems (difficulty with balance)
  • Claustrophobia/acrophobia (fear of enclosed spaces/heights)
  • Blood pressure disorder
  • Diabetes
  • Pacemaker or implanted defibrillator
  • Arthritis, osteoarthritis or other muscular/skeletal disorders affecting mobility
  • Known allergies (e.g., bee/wasp stings or spider bites)
  • Recent surgery
  • Any other medical condition or medication dependency that could affect climbing or the physical impact of climbing
  • Problems with lifting

GWO BST Courses

In relation to GWO courses you are also confirming that:

  • There is no factor that will inhibit or affect delegate participation in GWO training.
  • The delegate weighs less than 126 Kgs, a mandatory requirement for GWO Work at Height Safety Training.
  • The delegate agrees to follow all instructions from the appointed instructor for the duration of the GWO training.
  • Should there be any doubt regarding the delegates medical fitness, the training provider will stop the training and seek a physician’s advice.

By accepting the "Terms and Conditions" at the point of registration you are confirming that you and the person you are registering on behalf of have read and understood the listed risks and potentially life-threatening medical conditions and, confirm that you / they are physically and medically fit to participate in our training.
