The course looks at different types of crane rope construction, the different modes of rope deterioration and the current standards and legislation that apply to steel wire rope examination.

Additionally, the course reviews the requirements of the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations (PUWER) and any other relevant legislation. It also looks at the documentation required, and various inspection techniques used.

Additionally, the course reviews the documentation required, and various inspection techniques and the roles of an examiner.
