PPE Requirements


When attending courses on a Certex site it is a requirement to bring the correct PPE for the relevant course. Please refer to the below list of courses to see what PPE you must bring.


If you do not attend with the correct PPE you will not be allowed to participate.

Safety Footware Required:

  • Lifting Equipment Examination
  • Cargo Carrying Unit (CCU) Container Pre-Trip Inspection
  • Personal Fall Protection Equipment Examination (PFPE)
  • Turbine Mounted Safety Equipment Examination (TMSE)
  • Pedestal Crane Examination
  • Rigging Loft Management
  • Basic / Advanced Lifting and Slinging
  • Wire Rope Socketing
  • Electric Overhead Travelling Crane Operation
  • Goracon User, Installation & Maintenance
  • GWO Fire Awareness
  • GWO Manual Handling
  • Appointed person training
  • Crane Supervisor
  • Davit Crane Examination & Maintenance

Safety Footware, Climbing Harness & Swimware Required:

  • GWO Basic Safety Training (BST) Offshore

Safety Footware, & Climbing Harness Required:

  • GWO Basic Safety Training (BST) Onshore
  • GWO Working at Height

No PPE Required:

  • Crane Steel Wire Rope Inspection
  • Harness & Lanyard inspection
  • Loler & Puwer
